About The HALCyon general store
The Halcyon General Store, under new management as of 2021, has been in continuous operation since 1908 as a significant landmark within the Halcyon Historic District on California’s Central Coast. Over time, the store has served many functions for the Halcyon community as well as residents and visitors to San Luis Obispo County — as a post office, grocery store, library, health food store, gas station, and metaphysical gift shop.
Today, under the management of Ron Carlock, Ron’s Home & Garden at the Halcyon General Store offers a range of household decor and plants, succulents, pottery, and unique gifts of many kinds. It also serves as a gathering place for the Halcyon community and friends and neighbors far and wide.
